Grant V. Sprick

Joining Ahold Delhaize in 2022, Grant Sprick supports Ahold Delhaize and its family of local brands to maximize positive impact to climate, circularity, and nature. As Vice President of Climate & Environment, Grant is responsible for defining Ahold Delhaize’s ambition around a variety of topics including decarbonization, food waste, packaging, biodiversity, and animal welfare. In addition, Grant provides key support to our ESG teams regarding benchmarks, disclosure, assurance, and risk management.

After obtaining a degree in Earth & Environmental Engineering from the Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Science, he began a 22 year career in the environmental consulting industry at Arcadis providing liability management, due diligence, sustainability, and asset management solutions across many sectors. In addition, Grant served as the Arcadis Asia Sustainability Director while living in China, and the Global Sustainability Director while living in the Netherlands developing internal sustainability capability programs, supporting driving sustainable outcomes in solutions, and improving carbon reporting.
