A Landscape Approach to Improving Child Labor and Responsible Recruitment in the Agriculture Sector

Fair Labor Association is hosting a webinar to discuss key learning points from Harvesting the Future, a project launched in partnership with SAI Platform to address the labour conditions of migrant agricultural workers in supply chains in Turkey.

The Harvesting the Future project provided SAI Platform members with a unique opportunity to cooperate on a large-scale across multi-commodity supply chains. It was successful in aligning industry understanding of on-the-ground risks to agricultural workers and the interventions needed to improve working conditions and employment practices.

A panel of business and civil society representatives and child rights practitioners will share their experiences with Harvesting the Future and Leah Blechschmidt, Project Manager at SAI Platform will speak about the direct link between the economic stability of farmers and farm workers, their working and living conditions, and the long-term sustainability of the agriculture sector.
