Global Engagement Officer

SAI Platform currently has an opening for a Global Engagement Officer (40hrs/week)

Joining SAI Platform offers the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to be part of an organisation that is at the forefront of sustainability and the challenging issues facing the agri-food sector.

SAI Platform’s biggest asset is our members, and this important role is aimed at ensuring that they feel valued and supported. Working under the supervision of the Director of Communications and in close coordination with the Communications Manager the Global Engagement Officer will help design, implement and evaluate robust member engagement practices through our events, active collaboration and peer-to-peer sharing of knowledge and best practices.

The role involves remote working with a virtual team. 

Responsibilities

Membership management & engagement

  • To lead and co-ordinate the membership recruitment process including queries and introduction meetings, process applications, onboarding measures, maintain and develop SAI Platform’s CRM.
  • Coordinate and maintain clear and succinct stakeholder communication materials, including, presentations and event materials.
  • Arrange and accompany team members as appropriate, to meet with key stakeholders on a 1-2-1 basis.
  • Develop and maintain member engagement digital platforms such as Freshdesk, MY SAI Platform and Spotlight.

Membership engagement strategy

  • Assist and support the Communications Director to find new and innovative approaches to engage with our members and other stakeholders.
  • Assist and support SAI Platform events including but not limited to the annual event.
  • Follow up with new leads and develop the business case including introductory and scoping meetings for prospective members and partners.
  • Lead membership analysis and produce quarterly insight reports on membership growth, trends and membership fees per area of activity.

Candidate requirements 

  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal effectiveness with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.
  • Highly motivated work style with a proactive “can-do” attitude and ability to work remotely with a virtual team.
  • Knowledge and experience in sustainability and the agri-food industry.
  • Experience with CRM systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • English mother tongue or at least full professional proficiency in English is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.

Industry Solutions Officer

SAI Platform is recruiting an Industry Solutions Officer. This is an exciting role and a unique opportunity for a high calibre individual to support SAI platform’s  industry solutions and programmes, at a very crucial time. SAI Platform’s tools and solutions play an important role in  shaping the sourcing standards and approach of the food and beverage industry. Given SAI Platform’s scope and breath, we operate at the centre of sustainable agriculture and agricultural supply chains and the role represents a great opportunity to learn and develop.

The Industry Solutions Officer will support the Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) Director and wider SAI Platform Secretariat in delivering core services and systems that allow our solutions and programmes to grow and be used at scale. They will also help to develop important new features that support the work programmes of member workstreams. 

The role involves remote working with a virtual team. 

Responsibilities

Support the Farm Sustainability Assessment Director to:

  • Ensure that all user support requests are managed correctly and in line with agreed levels of service.
  • Developing the effectiveness tracker and reporting on key metrics for growth of uptake and satisfaction for users and service agents.
  • Assist with the delivery of key meetings and events. 
  • Prepare or support the preparation of PowerPoint presentations and reviewing training material. 
  • Support the development of IT solutions including the FSA web-app and benchmarking portal. 
  • Prioritise and resolve any bugs within the system. 
  • Support users and service agents such as verification bodies, endorsed advisors, as well as benchmarked scheme owners.

Support the development of the regenerative agriculture programme and its integration with the FSA.

  • Co-ordinate on farm pilots.
  • Co-ordinate online consultation process.

Climate Smart Agriculture Intern

SAI Platform is recruiting a Climate Smart Agriculture Intern to support in the delivery of the Climate Smart Agriculture workstream. This is an exciting role and a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual to support SAI Platform’s Crops Working Group at a crucial time. SAI Platform is seeking a career starter with knowledge of climate change in the context of the food sector, and a strong interest to support cross-sector collaborative industry solutions.


Responsibilities

Support the Crops Lead to:

  • Research and analyse key industry trends, tools, and innovations toward measurable GHG emissions mitigation.
  • Refine the SAI Platform approach to GHG emissions across agriculture.
  • Prepare for and facilitate key member events, both online and in-person.
  • Carry out administrative tasks for the successful delivery of the CSA workstream.


Candidate requirements

  • Completing (or just completed) a relevant MA/MSc programme (Agriculture, Climate, Sustainability, Environment or other related).
  • A genuine interest in working on climate change related challenges linked to the agriculture sector.
  • Service-oriented attitude with good organisational and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • The interest and ability to problem-solve.
  • Native or near-native level English speaker with excellent verbal and written communication; additional languages are an asset.
  • Self-motivated and able to work remotely with a virtual team.

Communications Officer

SAI Platform currently has an opening for a Communications Officer (40h/week) on a short-term contract covering maternity leave until January 2024.

The Communications Officer will be part of a growing, international team in which communications plays a vital role. They will support the communications lead and the development and implementation of SAI Platform’s communications strategy and member engagement.

The role will involve designing impactful communications material and implementing engaging and innovative communications campaigns (both online and offline) that reflect SAI Platform’s value proposition and vision.

The focus of the role within SAI Platform may evolve as needs and priorities change.

Responsibilities

DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS (WEB, SOCIAL AND VIDEO)

  • Create and produce high quality, relevant and compelling digital content (including video memes, news stories and social media posts).
  • Proactively schedule, develop, update, and enhance the communications across our social media channels.
  • Support the website and Members’ Zone CMS including all uploads, online edits and any preparation or adjustments to images for social media and website use.
  • Production of quarterly newsletters as well as other publications such as project case studies and event reports.
  • Produce quarterly reports on web and social metrics (user traffic, online mentions, media exposure, social media engagement) and seek ways to improve engagement.

STRATEGY & SUPPORT

  • Assist with the delivery of an organisation-wide communications strategy and the integration of communications into all of the teams’ activity planning.
  • Support in building relationships with media and members’/partners’ comms teams.
  • Support SAI Platform Events with all communications needs including content and design for registration website, collateral documents, presentation templates.
  • Provide administrative assistance when needed for the organisation of meetings with external stakeholders (invitations, agenda setting, minute taking).
  • Prepare or support the preparation of PowerPoint presentations.
  • Alignment and collaboration with other activity areas where relevant.

Candidate requirements 

  • At least 3 years working in the field of Communications.
  • Proven ability to adapt style and messaging for a wide variety of channels and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience of using the Adobe Creative Suit.
  • Proven video and photo editing skills.
  • Experience with content management system (CMS) WordPress.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Eye for contemporary and aesthetic design as well as detail.
  • Highly motivated work style, hands on and proactive “can-do” attitude.
  • English mother tongue desirable or at least full professional proficiency both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge and experience in sustainability and the agri-food industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience of working in an international organisation is an asset.
