Nikolai is the Public Affairs & Outreach Director at SAI Platform, where he leads global stakeholder engagement and policy‑driven initiatives that advance the transition to sustainable and regenerative food systems. He oversees the organisation’s public affairs, advocacy, and strategic outreach agenda, representing SAI Platform to policymakers, regulators, and industry leaders across the agri‑food value chain. His work builds on extensive cross‑sector experience and a strong commitment to fostering collaborative solutions throughout the agricultural system.
Nikolai has over 25 years of international experience in commercial and corporate leadership roles. Prior to joining the SAI Platform, he served as Head of Strategic Insights and Public Affairs at DeLaval, part of the Tetra Laval Group, working with strategy development, market research, business expansion, and strategic foresight. He has a strong track record of leading multicultural teams and collaborating with industry stakeholders and organisations on public affairs and sustainability topics.
His professional journey spans multiple countries and roles, reflecting a career dedicated to advancing resilient, sustainable, and regenerative agricultural systems. Nikolai holds a MSc degree in Agricultural Economics, is a Certified Future Strategist, and has multiple executive education credentials from the Stockholm School of Economics Executive Education.
