FSA and RTP claims alignment with the EU Green Claims and EmpCo Directive

17 Sep 2026Online

15.00-16.00 CEST

SAI Platform develops and manages sustainability frameworks and Industry Solutions for agricultural supply chains, including the Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) and the Regenerating Together Programme (RTP).

The FSA enables food and drink businesses to assess, improve, and validate on-farm sustainability in their supply chains. Built around a simple set of questions to farmers, the FSA standardises farm assessment.

The RTP is a system for farms and companies in agricultural value chains to provide business-to-business assurance about on-farm implementation of regenerative agriculture practices and monitoring of the outcomes.

As the regulatory and legal landscape continues to evolve across multiple regions, SAI Platform is actively monitoring developments relevant to its frameworks. This includes tracking specific EU legislation, such as the Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive (EmpCo), which comes into effect on September 27, and the Green Claims Directive.

We are taking a proactive and responsible approach to ensure that the FSA and RTP associated communications remain credible, robust, and aligned with emerging expectations. The objective is to make claims more credible, defensible and usable.

To support this process, SAI Platform has engaged with an external expert partner (Nouterra) to conduct a comprehensive gap analysis assessing the alignment of both the FSA and the RTP against the EmpCo and the Green Claims Directives as a benchmark.
