We welcome Kinisla as a SAI Platform member

30th June 2026

“Achieving Stage 5 – the highest level of reporting in the SDP gives our customers and prospective partners an independently verified signal of sustainability progress across our supply base. The SDP simplified assurance, enhanced collaboration, and strengthened the trust our buyers need for their own sustainability commitments and buying decisions.”

Zita McCarthy, Head of Sustainability

We are pleased to welcome Kinisla, a farmer-owned, vertically integrated dairy and nutrition business headquartered in Tralee, Ireland. Established as an independent company in 2026 from the former Kerry Group dairy division, with cooperative roots dating back to 1972, Kinisla sources over 1.2 billion litres of milk annually from around 2,600 Irish family farms. Producing consumer dairy products and functional ingredients for global markets, its direct sourcing model ensures strong traceability and close farmer relationships across its supply chain. We also value the continued connection, as Kerry Group has been a member of SAI Platform since 2015.

Sustainability is central to its operations, supported by its Evolve RegenDairy programme, Stage 5 verification under the Sustainable Dairy Partnership (SDP) and Origin Green Gold membership. With robust farm-level data systems and established advisory networks, Kinisla is well positioned to contribute to collective action and the evolution of sustainable dairy systems.

By joining SAI Platform, Kinisla aims to deepen alignment with globally recognised frameworks and accelerate collaboration to scale sustainable dairy practices. Building on its experience with the SDP and Origin Green, the company brings practical expertise in on-farm implementation, data systems and continuous improvement. Kinisla is also well positioned to contribute to the evolution of shared tools and standards, including the ongoing development of SDP 3.0, helping drive greater harmonisation and impact across global dairy supply chains.
