SAI Platform partners with ASI to strengthen FSA assurance system
4th June 2025
In a move to further underscore the credibility and consistency of its Farm Sustainability Programme (FSA), SAI Platform will officially transition the management of its Verification Bodies (VBs) to Assurance Services International (ASI). The partnership, first initiated in 2024, reflects SAI Platform’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the FSA’s verification process and marks a major milestone in the evolution of the FSA’s assurance framework.
ASI is a globally recognised leader in assurance oversight with extensive experience managing independent certification systems across diverse sustainability sectors. Their extensive experience positions them as an ideal partner to support the evolving needs of the FSA programme. Furthermore, ASI’s rigorous approach to monitoring, quality control, and system performance will enhance the consistency, transparency and overall strength of the FSA’s VB processes.
Under this new arrangement, ASI will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of VB engagement, including application reviews, approvals, ongoing performance assessments, and quality audits. This structured approach is expected to significantly strengthen the consistency and accountability of the FSA’s third-party verification system.
The partnership marks a significant advancement in SAI Platform’s efforts to build a more robust and trusted assurance framework for the FSA programme.
Applications now open for FSA VBs:
As such, SAI Platform is pleased to announce that applications are now open for organisations interested in becoming FSA-approved VBs. Organisations that meet the FSA VB and Auditor Requirements are invited to apply now and become part of a trusted global network dedicated to delivering credible, third-party verification of sustainable agricultural practices.
ASI will oversee the application and approval process, ensuring a streamlined, transparent and consistent experience for all applicants.
