ERBS introduces new Platform process and guidance for reporting and assessment

23rd March 2021

The European Roundtable for Beef Sustainability (ERBS) has announced the introduction of a new Platform reporting template along with process guidance documents for reporting, assessing and selecting assessors.

The new report template and guidance documents will ease Platform reporting under the ERBS recognition framework and required external assessments of Platform activity to credibly report progress.

“The new reporting format and independent report assessment along with the relevant guidance is a very positive step towards achieving consistency, transparency and credible oversight on progression towards the ERBS outcome targets by each Platform.”

The ERBS has worked closely with Flannery Nagel Environmental, a consulting agency specialised in environmental reporting, to create a concise and easy to use template separating the reporting of data and projects to allow for more clarity. The new guidance document explains how to use and fill in the templates, the recommendations for external assessment and the recognition process in its entirety.

ERBS Members representing each of the six Platforms and the ERBS Technical Working Group, supported by technical experts, have worked together to develop these new templates and guidance documents which have since been approved by the ERBS Board upon recommendation.

All six Platforms have now been trained to use the materials.
