Momentum is building ahead of SAI Platform’s Annual Event 2026, which promises to be a milestone moment for the agri-food industry. Taking place from 22–24 June in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, this year’s event coincides with the public launch of SAI Platform’s Regenerating Together Programme (RTP), marking a significant step in aligning the industry around a practical approach to operationalising regenerative agriculture.
Over the years, SAI Platform’s Annual Event has increasingly emphasised the critical role of the farmer, from on-farm visits to farmer-led perspectives throughout the programme. This year’s theme, Production Systems Resilience through Regenerative Agriculture, signals this continuation towards grounding industry dialogue in real farm-level experience. In this context, SAI Platform is delighted to announce that Cherilyn Jolly-Nagel will serve as Master of Ceremonies and significantly, the first farmer to take on this role at the Annual Event.

A leading voice in contemporary agriculture, Cherilyn Jolly-Nagel brings a rare combination of first-hand farming experience, international advocacy, and sharp, evidence-based communication. Recognised among the Top 50 Most Influential People in Canadian agriculture, she is known for her ability to translate complexity into clear, grounded insight while bridging the gap between farm-level realities and global food system discussions.
As International Director of the Global Farmer Network, she has represented farmers on the world stage, championing innovation, trade, and technology. Her recent Nuffield Canada Agriculture Scholarship has further deepened her exploration of how renewable energy intersects with agricultural land use and long-term viability. Alongside this, her role as host of Canada’s Farm Show highlights her commitment to showcasing practical solutions and collaboration across the sector.
Cherilyn Jolly-Nagel’s appointment signals a clear intent: to ensure that the transition to regenerative agriculture remains rooted in the realities, insights, and leadership of farmers themselves. Her voice will help guide three days of discussion, learning, and exchange all the while, connecting strategic ambition with practical implementation on the ground.
With early bird registration now extended until 17 April, there is still time to secure your place. Additional speakers and programme highlights will be announced in the coming weeks.
Join us in Saskatoon to be part of this pivotal moment and to help shape the future of resilient agricultural production systems.
With special thanks to this year’s sponsors Louis Dreyfus Company, Syngenta Group, InVivo – Soufflet Malt and PepsiCo.
