The challenge
Turkey is an important sourcing region for many of our members who have identified an opportunity to roll out the FSA in Turkey and to build on the success of the sugar beet projects in Europe and Russia.
Objectives
- Harmonise approach to sustainability across buyers and suppliers to enable greater impact on-farm.
- Benchmark existing progress of sugar beet sustainability in Turkey, identifying opportunities for training and advancement.
- Enable access to FSA and remove sector barriers to implementation of FSA in sugar beet in the provinces of Afyon, Kayseri, Konya, Kırşehir.
