Regen Reflections | Getting Results: Generating Meaningful Insights to Drive Change

23 Jan 2025Online

4pm – 5:30pm CET

Join us for the next session of Regen Reflections, as we explore how organisations are beginning to demonstrate insightful and meaningful data on the benefits of adopting regenerative agriculture practices in different contexts for both the farmers and value chain actors.

SAI Platform and Cool Farm are partnering to deliver Regen Reflections, an exclusive member-only webinar series, designed to support our communities in scaling regenerative agriculture. Over eight sessions, we’ll guide you on a ‘learning journey’ that combines our expertise to inspire action and drive meaningful change.

Session 4 will focus on ‘Getting Results: Generating Meaningful Insights to Drive Change.’ This session will dive into the Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) approaches that have enabled regenerative agriculture initiatives, and their real world impacts.

Regenerative agriculture offers immense potential for positive environmental impacts but implementing it effectively in a way that drives convincing and measurable change requires a nuanced and context-specific approach. We will hear from industry experts and member organisations who have taken different paths in adopting regenerative agriculture, showcasing the challenges, results, and insights from real-world projects.

Key discussion points will include:

  • Implications of a holistic, outcome based, and context specific approach to designing and implementing regenerative agriculture initiatives: understanding the interactions between the different outcome areas and the linkages between practices, principles, indicators, outcomes, and impact areas.
  • Designing MRV approaches: How have organisations selected which outcomes and indicators to focus on, which are of value to both the farmer and the value chain actors? How do these align with the Regenerating Together Framework?
  • From baseline to action: What did the baseline phase reveal, and how has it informed the practices adopted? How were these practices resourced and adapted based on the findings?
  • Real-world results: What measurable results are emerging, and how do they compare to baseline conditions?
  • Key learnings and adaptation: What are the key insights from these projects? How would they change their approach if starting over, and what comes next?

As we prepare for widespread testing and adoption of the Regenerating Together Framework v1.1, the aim is that by showcasing practical case studies, this session will offer attendees actionable insights into designing effective regenerative agriculture initiatives that are both locally relevant and scalable. The speakers will highlight both successes and challenges, offering a transparent look at what has worked, what hasn’t, and how to navigate these complex decisions.

As regenerative agriculture continues to expand, the ability to adapt frameworks to specific contexts and design robust MRV systems will be critical for success. This session aims to accelerate learning by sharing real-world examples that demonstrate how to balance scientific rigor with feasibility, ensuring meaningful, scalable outcomes.
