DOWNLOAD THE CASE STUDYCollins Higgins Commodities (CHC) has been selected as the winner of the FSA’s 2025 Growing a Better Planet Award. This recognition is awarded to organisations that have demonstrated measurable progress in environmental, social, and economic sustainability through the Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA). Developed by SAI Platform, the FSA has been adopted across global agricultural supply chains as a trusted framework for continuous improvement. The impact achieved by Collins Higgins Commodities reflects the ongoing influence of the FSA in advancing resilient and responsible farming practices worldwide.
Now in its third year, the award attracted over 20 entries spanning 37 crops across 11 countries, underscoring the FSA’s expanding global reach and adoption. The judging panel including Carly Griggs (Coca-Cola), Matthew Jacob (Mane Kancor), and Brigid McAleer (SAI Platform) evaluated submissions based on six core criteria: leadership, innovation, collaboration, and impact.

Collins Higgins Commodities distinguished itself through its integration of the FSA into cinnamon supply chains in Indonesia, working directly with farmers to implement sustainable practices. The panel cited the company’s long-term commitment to transparency and its ability to deliver tangible outcomes that strengthen farming communities and supply chain resilience.

While Collins Higgins Commodities received the top honour, all participating initiatives reflected the diversity and depth of sustainability efforts underway globally. Each case study contributes to a growing body of evidence on how agricultural supply chains can evolve through structured collaboration and continuous improvement. SAI Platform will publish a selection of the 2025 award entries in the coming months, offering insight into best practices and scalable models for sustainable crop production.
