Leprino Foods’ history dates back over 70 years when Mike Leprino Sr. and his son Jim first started making small batches of mozzarella for local markets and eateries in the Little Italy neighborhood of Denver. Today, Leprino Foods is the world’s largest manufacturer of mozzarella and lactose, and a leading producer of whey protein. Leprino Foods is based in the US with facilities across the country and operations in the UK, Ireland, and Brazil. Still owned by the Leprino family, the company has grown to employ over 5,500 people worldwide.
