Dr Awais Khan

Awais supports B2B and ESG reporting at SAI Platform, with a particular focus on the Sustainable Dairy Partnership (SDP) and the European Roundtable for Beef Sustainability (ERBS).

He brings deep expertise in climate sustainability, policy frameworks, and nature-based solutions, helping members deliver credible ESG reporting across agri-food supply chains. His work spans biodiversity, regenerative agriculture, and the implementation of global frameworks such as TNFD and the Natural Capital Protocol.

Before joining SAI Platform, Awais held research and policy roles with WWF, Cranfield University, the University of Plymouth, and the UK’s AgriFood Network+ (AFN), contributing to initiatives on water security, sustainable cotton traceability, and climate-smart agriculture. He has been a part of multi-million-pound projects funded by GCF, FCDO, and Innovate UK across Europe and Asia.

Awais holds a PhD in Agriculture and is skilled in stakeholder engagement and strategy design, supporting SAI Platform’s mission to drive measurable impact across global agri-food systems.
