Development of FSA 3.0 reaches major milestone

The consultation period for the Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) 3.0 Questionnaire is now closed. There was an impressive response to this 60-day public consultation period which will provide key insights into further development of the Questionnaire. As FSA 3.0 progresses, the FSA Guidance Committee will now review the feedback and are expected to publicly report on their findings early February 2020.

The Questionnaire forms the core component of the FSA. The purpose of this review is to further improve the Questionnaire as a tool for sustainability self-assessment at farm level through the input of users and stakeholders. In addition, the review will provide feedback about the relevance of the questions included in the Questionnaire.

FSA 3.0 will be launched in Q4 of 2020 along with new tools that will help users prioritise sustainable agricultural practices and provide concrete pathways to act on them.
