Lactalis is a French family-owned dairy company headquartered in Laval, in western France. Founded in 1933 by André Besnier, it has grown into the world’s largest dairy group, operating 266 production sites across 50 countries, distributed in 150 countries and employing approximately 85,500 people. Its product portfolio includes cheese, milk, yoghurt, butter and cream, dairy ingredients and nutritional products. The company owns several major international brands, such as Président, Galbani, Parmalat, and Leerdammer.
