Julia de Candido

Julia is involved in the development and establishment of the Regenerative Agriculture Programme. Together with the Regenerative Agriculture Director and Manager, and with the input of SAI Platform members, Julia supports the acceleration and scaling of regenerative outcomes across farms around the world.

Julia’s experience covers various aspects across the global agriculture sector, specifically focusing on food security, agricultural development, and regenerative agricultural practices. Over the past six years, Julia has worked and conducted researched with rural communities and smallholder farmers in Madagascar, South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, Sri Lanka, and India.

Julia holds an M.Sc. in Environment and Development from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and a B.BA. in International Food and Agribusiness from HAS University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands. She spent exchange semesters at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada and at the University of Helsinki, Finland.
