FSA Community of Practice gathers in support of FSA 3.0 developments
19th November 2020
On 12th November, the Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) Community of Practice came together for the first time this year at an exclusive member-only online event. The gathering of 90 participants were introduced to FSA 3.0. which is due for launch in April 2021. This three-hour interactive session offered participants the chance to ask questions, make comments and provide feedback on the developments to date.
Members from the FSA 3.0 Guidance Committee gave insights and closer examination into the pending changes to the FSA as well as to the Self-Assessment Questionnaire. The event featured interactive breakout sessions focusing on key FSA 3.0 modules pertaining to continuous improvement, benchmarking and outcome measurement.
Discussion panelists Andrew Voysey of Soil Capital, Daniella Malin of the Cool Farm Alliance and Dave Fitzgerald of the Kellogg Company addressed the emerging paradigm of regenerative agriculture and how the FSA can support this on the ground.
“At the end of the day, moving to regenerative agriculture is about changing farming practices. And that is what a framework like the FSA is all about”, commented Andrew Voysey of Soil Capital.
SAI Platform members can now view the recordings of the presentations, the breakout groups, and the regenerative agriculture session in the Members’ Zone of the SAI Platform website.
