SAI Platform is pleased to release the third in a series of videos showcasing the Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) in practice. It is part of SAI Platform’s #GrowingABetterPlanet campaign to raise awareness about good agricultural practices, and how the FSA toolset is helping users on continuous improvement and to fulfil their sustainability ambitions.

The video was co-developed with SAI Platform member, Ocean Spray and shows how the FSA enables them as they tell their unique story.

Ocean Spray is a vibrant agricultural cooperative owned by more than 700 cranberry farmers in the United States, Canada and Chile. They have used the FSA with their farmers since 2017 and were the first fruit cooperative worldwide to achieve a 100% FSA Verification.

Cranberries are a long-lived perennial vine, which through unique horticulture practices can produce berries for decades. Sustainability is an inherent part of cranberry farming and regenerative agriculture has been practiced for generations on Ocean Spray cranberry farms. These practices are not only good for the environment, the farmers, and their communities, they are also expected by customers and consumers. The FSA enables Ocean Spray to celebrate farm sustainability success stories across the cooperative.
