SAI Platform recruits – closed

12th February 2015

To meet the needs of our growing membership and to help lead our very ambitious project named Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA), we are looking for a new colleague.

FSA is rapidly becoming the reference for the production of sustainable commodities globally. To keep pace with this development, we are expanding FSA’s scope (agricultural products, languages, countries) and developing support tools for its use at farm and company levels. We are looking for an experienced colleague to help us further design, promote and build FSA.

The vacancy will be a full time job for one year, with a possibility of extension afterwards.

Key tasks, in close collaboration with our staff, members and various consultants include:

Experience with sustainability standards and IT reporting systems is crucial. Our new colleague should be a pro-active, flexible self-starter who is able to work independently while at the same time having a real team spirit. Excellent project management and communication skills as well as experience working in an international environment are also required. The position requires fluency in English, and additional languages would be a benefit.

We are a virtual team of 6, based in various European countries with an office in Brussels, serving members globally. The new SAI Platform employee will work from his or her own home/office, and communicates regularly with the rest of the team by phone, skype, email etc. We estimate about 4-5 days per month travelling.
