Dairygold is one of Ireland’s leading co-operatives, supporting over 6,000 farmer shareholders for over 150 years. Dairygold processes 1.4 billion litres of milk annually, accounting for circa 17% of the national milk pool. The co-operative produces award-winning cheese and dairy powder ingredients, traced to grass-fed cows. Dairygold currently employs over 1,300 people across Ireland, UK, Germany, Spain, and China.
Through its €10m Grassroots Milk Supplier Sustainability Programme, Dairygold is supporting its milk suppliers’ transition to more sustainable farming, focused on environmental protection and on-farm efficiency.
Dairygold’s sustainability agenda is aligned with the Dairy Sustainability Framework (DSF) and Origin Green, the national programme in Ireland. The Co-Operative is also committed to SBTi to the 1.5oC ambition.
