Veracruz is an almond producing and processing start-up company founded in 2017 in the Castelo Branco district, Portugal. They are focused on producing, processing and selling best quality Mediterranean almond varieties. Currently, they produce almonds on 1300+ hectares and process 4000 tons of almond kernels in their factory.
Smart Farming is in the DNA of Veracruz and they are the first company in the world to have traceable almonds using a blockchain technology to trace the entire production process. They seek to balance high productivity with a respect for the environment by investing in technologies that promote intelligent production and make the best use of resources.
