SAI Platform is excited to announce the release of the enhanced FSA Outcome Measurement Handbook. This comprehensive resource has been significantly upgraded to encompass not only greenhouse gas emissions but also biodiversity, water, and soil metrics, effectively covering all four long-term impacts of our Regenerative Together programme.

The Outcome Measurement Handbook plays an important role in supporting continuous improvement plans within the food and agriculture industry. It serves as a practical guide for stakeholders seeking to measure and assess the impacts of their sustainability efforts.

This expansion reflects SAI Platform’s commitment to a holistic approach to sustainability, recognising the interconnectedness of various environmental factors within the food and agriculture value chain.

Furthermore, this revised edition includes the third greenhouse gas measurement tool, Plataforma Puma. Puma is an environmental monitoring platform which supports users to assess crop production cycle impact on carbon footprint and soil carbon balance, providing an internationally certified carbon footprint report in accordance with international sustainability guidelines (IPCC, 2BSvs).

Looking ahead, SAI Platform plans to transform the Outcome Measurement Handbook into a valuable resource for all members engaged in outcome measurement projects. Whether through SAI Platform industry solutions or other initiatives, this resource will facilitate and streamline the process of measuring sustainability outcomes for farmers.

The FSA is working closely with the Regenerative Agriculture programme to develop an updated joint version of the Handbook, ensuring it remains at the forefront of industry best practices. We welcome feedback from you as we scope this next version. Your input is crucial in helping us continuously improve this vital resource.

Moreover, stay tuned for updates on a new SAI Platform workstream focused on outcome measurement, set to launch in 2024. This initiative will provide an opportunity for our members to further engage with and contribute to the ongoing development of outcome measurement practices within the food and agriculture sector.

We invite you to join us for the official launch webinar of the upgraded Outcome Measurement Handbook. This interactive event will provide insights into the expanded scope of the Handbook, discussions with key stakeholders, and a roadmap for its implementation.
