A significant milestone as Platforms enter second reporting cycle on ERBS Outcome Targets

The European Roundtable for Beef Sustainability (ERBS) Platforms in-Country are preparing to reach a significant milestone as their Platform Progress Reports, start their second cycle of reporting against the eight ERBS outcome targets.
Through the alignment of the eight pre-determined ERBS outcome targets, this significant milestone acknowledges the positive progress towards sustainable beef farming happening in Europe.
The mission of the ERBS is that all aspects of the beef value chain are recognised for delivering measurable positive impacts and continuous improvement towards key sustainability priorities.
Credibility and strong foundations in reporting are a priority and ERBS Platforms in Country are producing Platform Progress Reports every two years. This enables them to credibly demonstrate progress towards the outcome targets and communicate that progress with confidence.

To help streamline the reporting process this year, the ERBS gathered feedback from Platforms and the independent assessors on the last reporting cycle and applied those learning points into developing new guidance documentation and updating existing documents. This documentation can be provided upon request.
This cycle of reporting features for the first time a new Platform Progress Framework, launched at the end of 2022. The ERBS Platform Progress Framework takes each Platform through six key sustainability stages, enabling recognition of national and local programmes, avoiding duplication of effort and maximising on the great work that is already underway in each country. It enables Platforms to transparently report and track progress on their individual journeys towards achieving the eight ERBS outcome targets and provides a simple way of communicating progress reports.
